But honeymoon is soon over as each comes to realize that the other isn't quite what they thought. The liberal woman would like to talk of sex with frankness and ease. The conservative man can't get rid of his traditional sense of superiority. They end up hurting each other and decide to get a (limited) divorce. Once apart, they each begin to feel empty without the other, and realized they need to make an effort to understand each other.

回复 :本片故事发生在1941年，德国军队横扫欧洲期间。由两个即将前往贝尔格莱德的贫穷少年的歌唱开始，又从他们搭乘的公共汽车展开故事。形形色色的人坐上这部汽车，退役老军人、两个富人、新婚夫妇、司机父子。各种各样的意外引出了各种各样的故事、叙述和活动：在一个路口被军人拦住；在另一条陆上又被收取买路钱的农夫扎破车胎；在湖边休息时，又碰上了行进中的一个本国小分队，汽车被征用，回来后司机的儿子已经被强迫参军；退役军人的钱包掉在路上，乘客们却怀疑两个清贫的少年并把他们拳打脚踢。最后在德军飞机的轰炸下，汽车焚烧、倾倒，但两位满面污秽的少年仍然从车窗爬出，继续歌唱……贝尔格莱德之旅由此艰难地结束。
