供职于某设计公司的石神武人（西岛秀俊 饰）生活优渥，转生事业顺利，转生妻子美由纪（中村友理 饰）也美丽温柔。然而看似完美的一切却在那一天急转直下，生日当天，满怀喜悦的石神回到家中，却看到了妻子冷冰冰的尸体，而接下来的电话中竟然传来美由纪活生生的声音。此后，伪装成警察的神秘男子闯了进来，石神中途逃脱，半路上得到韩国女记者（金孝珍 饰）的帮助。随后的日子，石神发现以前熟悉的人和事物都发生了改变，而他的记忆也渐渐变得模糊。在这一过程中，女记者意外发现石神竟和自己正在调查的另一起失踪案有密切关联。真相究竟如何？石神的真实身份又是谁？本片根据司城志朗的小说改编。

However, on Christmas Eve, he is visited by the doomed ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley that tells him that three spirits would visit him that night. The first one, the spirit of Christmas Past, recalls his miserable youth when he lost his only love due to his greed; the spirit of Christmas Present shows him the poor situation of Bob's family and how joyful life may be; and the spirit of Christmas Future shows his fate. Scrooge finds that life is good and time is too short and suddenly you are not there anymore, changing his behavior toward Christmas, Bob, his nephew and people in general.
